Hey! So Glad You're Here.

So who am I?

During most daylight hours, I walk around as an IT and Creative Media teacher where I try my best to save students from boring teachers. The hours I have left, I divide between some Capoeira and this amazing hobby that is tabletop role-playing gaming (TTRPG).

How did I get started?

A friend of my older brother bought the first edition D&D as well as the box set of the World of Greyhawk. Not long after, a PHB ended up in our house and 12-year old me looked at it with wondering eyes. Little did I know this book would change my life and take most of my hours not spend at school. I created my own worlds, played TMNT and Battletech until I finally had a grasp of the game my brother was playing - D&D. Then the 2nd Edition came out and my brother and myself started saving up and eventually bought every book we could find, we had the biggest library in the surrounding kingdom :-).

TGL - oronir

It was 1992 and I turned 16, I was ready to truly GM for my friends. We played the game whenever we could, some weeks I would play in three games and run as many myself. Although I have run various campaign settings such as Dragonlance, Ravenloft, Darksun and even some Spelljammer, I was only ever a player in the world of Greyhawk. The longest campaign I ever ran on a weekly basis, was in the desolate world of Darksun which ran from 1997 until the campaign’s unexpected end in 2019. The death of one of our players, Bart Ost, stopped us from finishing the campaign mere inches from the climatic end. Our lives were shaken beyond comprehension and we did not know if we could gather to the table again. Some time passed and I steered my friends into the setting I myself was once a player in.

TTRPGs are about friendship, creating a community and lots and lots of laughter. To be a Game Master is about telling page-turning stories, keeping friends together in an ever-changing world and giving everyone, including the DM, their moment to shine.

The Grey league Channel

Since the day I started playing in 1988, I have never stopped tabletop RPG. In 2018 I decided to get connected with others around the world through Discord and soon after I started a YouTube channel as an outlet for my creativity and passion for the game. Although I still run games in Greyhawk, I traded the 3.5 ruleset in for Pathfinder2e in 2020.
